What Live and the payment processor charge, and who pays.
In effect from 1 October 2026.
Live's service fee
2% per paid ticket on the Free plan, less on paid plans (below). Free tickets are never charged, and neither is registering for a free event.
The payment processor's fee
1.5% + ₦100, the ₦100 waived under ₦2,500, capped at ₦2,000. It's an estimate until each payment settles; the real fee is recorded then.
Who pays
The organiser chooses, for each event: guests pay the fees on top of the ticket price, or the organiser absorbs them. Guests always see the full price before they pay.
A ₦5,000 ticket:
- Guests pay on top: the guest pays ₦5,279.19, the organiser receives ₦5,000.
- The organiser absorbs them: the guest pays ₦5,000, the organiser receives about ₦4,725.
Fees on refunds
If an event is cancelled, guests get back everything they paid. On other refunds, the ticket price is refunded and the service fee isn't, unless the organiser chose to absorb the fees.
Plans
Campaign emails count against your plan's monthly allowance; confirmations, tickets and reminders never do. When a campaign would go past what's left, you can send it to the first people there's room for and the rest later.
Upgrading charges the difference for the rest of the month straight away. Downgrading and stopping take effect when the month you've paid for ends.
