Help

The questions people ask most. If yours isn't here, write to us.

I registered for an event

  • Your confirmation and ticket arrive by email. Check spam if it isn't there in a few minutes.
  • Sign in with the address you registered with to see everything you're going to, with the QR code for the door.
  • Can't come? Cancel from that event on your Home page, or ask the organiser about a refund: their policy is on the event page.

Guest terms

I'm organising

  • Create an event, fill in the six steps, and publish. The link is yours to share anywhere.
  • Connect a payout account before publishing paid tickets, so sales have somewhere to go.
  • Reminders send themselves: set them under the event's Emails, and Live counts back from your event's date.
  • At the door, open Check-in on a phone, or send door staff a link so they need no account. Door links stop working 2 hours after the event ends, and lock for 15 minutes after 10 wrong PINs.

Why is there a limit on my paid sales?

  • New organisers can sell up to ₦500,000 in paid tickets until one of their paid events has happened cleanly. It keeps guests' money safe while there's no track record, and lifts by itself 3 days after such an event ends.
  • Free registrations are never limited.
  • Will your event sell more? Ask for a higher limit from the event's Tickets page, before or after publishing. We reply by email within 1 working day.

The limit for new organisers

What does Live charge?

  • 2% per paid ticket on the Free plan, less on paid plans, plus the payment processor's fee. You choose whether guests pay the fees on top or you absorb them.
  • Nothing on free tickets or free registration.

Fees

Email and lists

  • Everyone who registers joins your audience, and you can import a list from a spreadsheet of people who agreed to hear from you.
  • Campaigns count against your plan's monthly allowance. Confirmations, tickets and reminders never do.
  • Someone who unsubscribes is skipped from then on; it's their choice, not something to work around.
  • If your marketing email pauses, too many people marked it as spam or too many addresses bounced. Confirmations and tickets keep going.

Spam and bounces

Why is my event off Browse?

  • People reported it and Live's staff are reviewing it, or staff kept the listing off with a reason. Its own page and link keep working either way.

Reports

Plans and money

  • Free covers unlimited events and registrations. Paid plans add email volume, unlimited reminders and a lower service fee.
  • Plans are monthly and stop whenever you like; you keep the plan until the period ends.
  • Tickets are held for 25 minutes while a guest pays.
