Privacy
What Live knows about you, why, and what you can do about it.
In effect from 1 October 2026.
What we hold
- Your account: your email address, your name if you give one, and how you sign in.
- Which version of the Terms, Privacy policy and Organiser agreement you agreed to, and when.
- What you register for: the events, tickets and answers you give an organiser's form.
- What organisers collect: their guest lists, the emails they send, and whether those were delivered or opened.
- How Live is used: pages visited and errors hit, so we can keep it working.
Why we hold it
To run the product you asked for: confirm your place, send your ticket, remind you before the day, let you in at the door, and let organisers reach the people who chose to hear from them.
Organisers and Live
When you register for an event, the organiser sees what you filled in. They decide how they use it, and Live holds it for them.
Live never sells your details, and never emails an organiser's guests about other events.
Who else sees it
- Our payment processor, for paid tickets and plans.
- Our email provider, to deliver the emails you're sent.
- Anyone the law obliges us to tell, which we check before we do.
Email you can stop
Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and your account's Email preferences page lists every organiser who can email you, with a switch for each. Confirmations, tickets and reminders for events you registered for always arrive.
If an email to you bounces as undeliverable, we stop sending to that address for 30 days. If you mark an email as spam, we stop sending that kind of email to you altogether.
Cookies
Live uses only the cookies it needs: one to keep you signed in, one to protect forms, and one to remember the city you chose on Browse. No tracking or advertising cookies.
Organisers see how many times their event's page was opened, per day and per link it was shared on. Live counts these itself: numbers only, with nothing about who visited.
Your choices
- See and correct your details in your account.
- Ask an organiser to remove you from their list, or ask us if they don't.
- Ask us for a copy of what we hold, or for it to be deleted, where the law lets us. When a contact is deleted, orders we must keep are anonymised rather than kept with your details.
How long we keep it
As long as your account is open, and afterwards only what we must keep for law, accounting or fraud prevention.
