Organiser agreement
What applies when you sell tickets on Live, on top of the Terms of service.
In effect from 1 October 2026.
Fees
Live's service fee is 2% per paid ticket on the Free plan; paid plans lower it. Free tickets are never charged.
The payment processor charges 1.5% + ₦100, the ₦100 waived under ₦2,500, capped at ₦2,000.
For each event you choose whether guests pay the fees on top of the ticket price or you absorb them. The choice is locked once the event has taken a sale.
Getting paid
Sales are paid in one of two ways, which Live sets: straight into the bank account you connect as each payment settles, with Live's fee taken at the same time; or into your Live balance, which you withdraw to that same account whenever you like.
The bank account is connected by the workspace's owner, and the bank confirms the account holder's name before it's used.
The limit for new organisers
Until one of your paid events has happened cleanly, paid sales across all your events are limited to ₦500,000. Free registrations are never limited.
Clean means an event with paid tickets ended at least 3 days ago and no report against any of your events was upheld. The limit then lifts by itself.
Why: new sellers are where most fraud and payment disputes come from. The limit keeps guests' money safe while there's no track record. Live's staff may lift it early, or keep it, after reviewing an account.
Expecting to sell more on your first event? Ask for a higher limit from your event's Tickets page. Live's staff reply within 1 working day, and may raise the limit to an amount, lift it, or decline, with the reason. Until then, sales carry on up to your current limit.
Refunds and cancellations
- Publish a refund policy on every event with paid tickets, and honour it. Guests can ask for a refund from their account.
- If you cancel an event, every paid order is refunded in full, fees included, automatically.
- On other refunds, the ticket price is refunded and the service fee isn't, unless the organiser chose to absorb the fees.
Checkout
Tickets are held for 25 minutes while a guest pays. If they don't finish, the tickets go back on sale.
Pausing sales and suspension
Live may pause sales, take an event off Browse, or suspend an event or a workspace if it breaks these terms or the Community rules, or puts guests' money at risk. A suspended event's page and sales close.
Payment disputes
If a guest disputes a payment with their bank, we'll tell you and ask for what shows the event happened as described. How disputed amounts are settled will be set out here before Live handles disputes itself.
Changes
When this agreement changes, we'll email you before the new version takes effect, and ask you to accept it the next time you sell tickets or open Money.
