Community and email rules
What events belong on Live, how reports work, and who you may email.
In effect from 1 October 2026.
Events on Live
- Nothing illegal, deceptive or harmful, and nothing you can't deliver.
- Describe the event honestly: when, where, what a ticket includes, and who it's for.
Reports
Anyone can report an event from its page. Once 3 different people report one, it comes off Browse until Live's staff review it.
After review, staff may keep an event off Browse, or suspend the event or its workspace. A report that's upheld also keeps the limit for new organisers in place.
Listing on Browse
Listing an event on Browse is optional. An organiser's first listed event with paid tickets is reviewed before it shows there; its link, sales and emails work in the meantime.
Live may review any listing, and keep one off Browse with the reason. The event's own page and link keep working.
Who you may email
- Only people who agreed to hear from you. A list you import must be people who agreed.
- Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and anyone who unsubscribes isn't emailed again.
Spam and bounces
We watch each workspace's marketing email over 30 days, once it has sent at least 200. If more than 0.3% of recipients mark it as spam, or more than 5% of addresses bounce as undeliverable, marketing email pauses. Confirmations, tickets and reminders keep going. It resumes when the rates come back down.
An address that bounces as undeliverable isn't emailed again for 30 days; someone who marks an email as spam isn't emailed again at all.
Why: these are the limits mail providers use to decide whether mail from Live reaches anyone's inbox. One workspace's spam would stop every organiser's tickets arriving.
